 2 cups heavy cream

 3 tablespoons white vinegar


1. Combine Ingredients: In a clean mason jar or bowl, add 2 cups of heavy cream.

2. Add Vinegar: Stir in 3 tablespoons of white vinegar until well mixed.

3. Cover and Ferment: Cover the jar or bowl with cheesecloth or a paper towel secured with a rubber band or twine. Let it sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours.

4. Refrigerate: After fermentation, if the sour cream is thinner than desired, refrigerate to thicken further.



Homemade sour cream may have a slightly thinner consistency than store-bought due to the absence of commercial thickeners.
