To start, preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and salt until combined.
In a separate mixing bowl, add eggs, canola oil, water, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Next, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly mixed. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl to make sure there are no dry pockets.
Line your baking dish with parchment. Once your batter is mixed, pour it into your prepared baking dish and smooth it out with a spatula. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely before slicing and serving.
